hello

My name is David VanArsdale, and after graduating from Georgia Tech only a few years ago, I never imagined returning.
I did as much freelance work as possible while in school, and when I got out I co-founded thing farm, a custom product/furniture/lighting firm. After two years of great adventure and exciting work, we dissolved and went our?separate?ways. I spent the next few months hitting the streets and DeeJaying to make bread. During those times, I rebuilt a steady flow of design work and founded Resource.
In the middle of all this, the folks at Georgia Tech tracked me down and asked if I would be interested in teaching ID studio. I thought, "are you serious, didn't I stir up enough trouble the first time!?"
I've now discovered that my pursuit of more meaningful design, one I previously worked towards in a hermit style, is really incomplete without connection to the movements of the past and the future. This realization coupled with the joy of being able to?inspire?and help people who really care about getting somewhere led me to fall in love with teaching.
So here I am, two semesters into this game. Let's see what we can stir up.
